Two families from the Gaelic class attended the Skye Family Learning week at the beginning of the school summer holidays this year.
The little ones went to the gaelic immersion nursery at sabhal mor ostaig while the school age children did sports, crafts and outdoor activities with children from Gaelic medium classes all over Scotland. There were Gaelic Learning courses for the parents and various activities in the evenings including a ceilidh at the end of the week.
The annual visit to see the Gaelic Pantomime also gave the class a chance to see the new Gaelic Schoolin Edinburgh and make new friends.
The Dinosaur Exhibition Kelvingrove Museum May 2015
As part of their Dinosaur topic the Gaelic class went on a trip to Glasgow to visit the HATCHING THE PAST - DINOSAUR EGGS AND BABIES exhibition at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. They learnt all about dinosaurs and their eggs and nests and uncovered some fossils themselves.
The class also visited the Gaelic cafe in Glasgow
COFFEE & CRAIC for refreshments.
It was a great day out.
The exhibition continues to August 2015 if anyone would like to go and see it.
